Daily

Our everyday life has been boring and I love it. The day-to-day consists of more indoor time with a splash of outdoor fun. The weather is changing, and we are getting used to it. Our day consists of a LOT of reading, Gavin is obsessed with books and wants to read 24/7. Reegan is in love with dressing up and we've spent many hours with puzzles and Legos.

There has been an increase in weekend tv watching, go chiefs and ksu!!! And cuddling on the couch.

Life is a tad monotonous but we're loving every minute. Bring on the holidays and the happiest time of the year!

finger paint

These pictures are too cute not to share. We decorated pumpkins this year just like we did last year, but Gavin was able to participate this year.

Then Reegan was able to "help" Jason carve the big pumpkins.

We are only a few weeks out from Halloween and Reegan is already asking when we are going to dress up and go trick-or-treating again!

Leaves and KSU

We spent the majority of the weekend outdoors anticipating that this may be the last warmish weekend we have in a while.  The weathermen have been calling for a cold front to hit this week and they were right.  It was cold today.  Saturday morning we had another house showing.  I'm so over it.  We are planning to take the house off the market in 2 weeks and take a break for the holidays and I am excited for that time.  I have no idea why the house is not selling because we are getting NO feedback.  None.  We got up early and went to breakfast at First Watch (my fav) and then to our favorite park.

Along with the playground there is a walking trail and some huge trees that blessed us by dropping their leaves recently.

Then home to watch KSU football!  Great game!!!
Sunday we got a bunch of small projects/chores done and played outside some more.  Here the kids are enjoying our little leaf pile.

The cold weather hit today, so we'll be spending more time indoors which is OK too.  We enjoyed it while it lasted!

freezer meals

My friend Jana and spent a Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago making 12 freezer, crockpot meals for each of us. It took us about 3 hours and just over $100.  I think the hardest part was deciding where to start. The couple meals we have already eaten have been great.  I know this afternoon will be repeated in another couple months, so far it was totally worth it.

While the girls were cooking, Jason and Matt were in charge of the 4 kids.  They did a great job and were able to watch the Chiefs game along with babysitting. Every toy in our house may have been scattered across the living room, but the kids had a blast.  Even better, Reegan and Gavin were in bed asleep at 7:30!
I loved reading and seeing posts on facebooks and instagram regarding thankfulness this month.  Today and every day I am thankful for great friends and husbands and kids who also enjoy each others company. I've already started looking at recipes for next time Jana!

Halloween

We did Halloween right this year and celebrated twice. The weekend before we dressed up and went to a nearby church for a trunk-or-treat.

The cutest Mickey and Minnie Mouse I ever saw.

We weren't sure how Gavin would do, but he loved it.  Picked up real quick the put the candy in the bag concept.
Halloween night we went to my Aunt Lisa's house for pizza and trick-or-treating.  This neighborhood is seriously the best, so many people and lots of houses with their lights on!

My mom and dad and Jason's mom came  out with us.

I'm going to dress them similar as long as I can!  Luckily right now, Reegan is just as into it as I am!!! We had so much fun and have so much candy!  Lucky for Jason and I, our kids share!
