Sprint Family Fun day

We went to the power and light back in May for one of their family days. Princess and Super-hero was the theme and since it basically called Reegan and Gavin by name we of course had to go.
Reegan was thrilled to pose with the princesses, Gavin refused to go stand by the superheros.
He did love the inflatables though.

We love fun weekend events!

Gavin turns 4

Gavin turned 4. I can't believe it. How did this happen? Where did the last 4 years go? Not surprising he wanted a superhero party. I love this boy and his love of superheroes!
We had cupcakes, sugar cookies (both made by me)
Pretzels with cheese cubes on the end (supposed to be Thor's hammer)
And Captain America's shield made from strawberries, blueberries and marshmellows.

The plan was to put this bouncy house that we borrowed from a friend in the backyard as well as turn the sprinkler on. 5 minutes into the party the thunder started and the rain came in. So the bounce house was moved indoors. It was loud and more stressful for me but the kids didn't seem to mind.

We sang happy birthday to the boy and he loved it all!

While the party didn't go down as we planned Gavin had a great time and thats what matter. He was able to celebrate with his little friends and we loved celebrating with him!

Gavin went to the dr this week and received his kindergarten shot and we confirmed that this kid is big! 41 pounds (88%ile) and 3 feet, 7 ounces (96%ile). WOW.

-loves dinosaurs, superheroes, sports, riding his scooter, playing catch, soccer, movies, playing at the playground, swimming
-Is so excited to go back to preschool next year
-Still naps a few days a week but is often one of the first awake every morning
-Loves swim lessons and being outside

vacation- part 3

The final leg of our trip was Washington DC. While we had a great time and are so glad we went it will probably be a few more years before we venture back. The kids were a little young and fought over who would ride in the stroller more than I would have liked. But we had fun despite that!
First stop was the zoo. We love going to zoo's and this was no exception. We went for the pandas but enjoyed it all.
And baby animals are always a favorite as well.

The afternoon we spent sweating and looking at monuments. So hot and so humid. After a while we were done. Back to the hotel for showers and dinner.

The kids each got a stuffed panda from the zoo and unfortunately Reegan's continued to ride the metro train long after we left...
The architecture was beautiful and I think I ooohed and aaawed every few min.
Reegan's biggest request was seeing the white house. She was so excited. But then asked why we couldn't go inside.
I think it may be a law that if you go to DC you have to take this picture with the washing monument ;)
The korean war is my absolute favorite monument. Gives me chills every time.
We went to China town for Pizza
 Natural History museum.
Baby of course slept through it all.

Someone was excited to see the dinosaurs.

The pandas were incredible!!! So cute
We ate at the famous Ben's Chili Bowl when we arrived the first night. It was good. Best vegetarian chili I have ever had!
