Exciting Weekend

What an exciting, yet very busy weekend we had! Saturday day, Jason and I spent the morning/afternoon getting a few things off of the to-do list done. There are always those little things that only take 5 minutes each, but never seem to get done. So, thats what we did! My sister Brittany was in town, so Saturday night we decided to go out to the Royals game. Here they are at the game together. This was the first time Reegan was fortunate enough to meet her aunt. They hit it off right away!

This was Reegan's first trip out to the ballfield, so we had to dress her appropriately. Notice the pink pants and headband. We wanted to make sure everyone knew this was a little girl!

Once we got to the game, the weather was a lot colder than expected, so we weren't able to show off her pretty outfit anyway. It rained for almost the entire game, but we were lucky enough to find seats under the overhang. We bundled her up and she was a happy camper!

On Sunday morning, bright and early, we headed out to participate in the Trolley Run. It was our fourth consecutive year running the race, and obviously, Reegan's first. Jason ran with/behind my Dad and my mom and I walked with Reegan in her stroller. We also saw friends from church there (Adam, Becca, & Grayson, and Todd & Alicia). There were over 10,500 people registered this year so it was amazing!

Here's our family after finishing the race!

And here's Reegan about to cross the finish line - a personal best! :)

10 Weeks

Reegan is 10 weeks old and getting stronger every day! Here she is working on her tummy time! Also, now that the weather is warmer, she loves spending time in just her diaper!

We also have a bumbo chair that she can sit in. This was our first time putting her in it and she wasn't sure what to do.
This picture was too cute not to post! Reegan fell asleep mid-stretch! I'm not sure how comfortable it is with her bottom in the air, but she didn't seem to mind it!

Reegan's New Friend

Today Reegan was lucky enough to meet a new friend! Haylee Elizabeth was born Thursday, April 15! Haylee was the same size as Reegan when she was born, but wow, Reegan sure looks big next to her! I'm sure these girls are going to grow to be great friends!

On another note, are these not the coolest little socks you have ever seen! Unfortunately, they are still a little big for her, but I am sure not for long. At Reegan's 2 month check-up, she was almost 11 pounds (50%), 23 1/4 inches long (80%) and her head was 15 inches (35%).

2 Months Old!

Our little girl is officially two months old today!! I say this all the time to people, but time is flying by WAY too fast. It seems impossible that she could really be this old already. Ugghh. I guess I'd better get used to her growing up fast though as they say that is always the case.

These first two months have been everything - from frustrating, to joyful, to tearful, and then unbelievably amazing. Every second of every day is different. But that makes it so fun! She is getting so big too - we're guessing she's gotta be approaching 11 pounds. We'll find out for sure this Tuesday at her doctor's visit. We have enjoyed all the smiles and goos and gaas lately. It is the most incredible feeling to have your child just staring at you and making noises and grinning! I can't get enough of it. :)

Here's a couple pics of our girl today!

She was all smiles most of the day!

Despite what most girl clothing may say, Reegan is "Mommy's little girl." At least today anyway...

Easter

We had a great Easter and it was so exciting to share this with our little one. Saturday night we spent celebrating with Jason's family. Sunday morning we went to church and spent the afternoon with my family. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Reegan was worn out from the day, but here is a picture in her 1st Easter dress! Isn't she the cutest!
I also know that Reegan will never remember this Easter, but I couldn't let the day go by without getting her a present. It is nothing too exciting, but absolutely something that will be useful. We added to her book collection with a Berenstein Bears book, a baby einstein Cd, and of course a toy - links! I am not sure what she will do with the links, but almost every parent I have talked with suggested that we get some. So, whenever she is old enough to play with them, we are ready!
I wasn't the only one who didn't want to pass up Reegan's first Easter. Here are the wonderful gifts she was given from family members. It's too bad that no one loves her, huh??? :)
Overall, it was a great weekend. She has no idea what is going on or why we are doing these things, but it is great to know that we are already building traditions and creating memories.

Smiles, Smiles, and more Smiles!

Reegan started smiling "socially" a couple of weeks ago. It's been so much fun to look at her and have her smile back at us! We've been trying SO hard to catch it on camera, but until yesterday we were unsuccessful. I happened to have my camera phone with me and got a big one out of her. Sorry the picture's a little fuzzy, but it's too cute not to share...

We've been taking lots of other pictures of Reegan lately (including Easter pics today) and we promise to share some of them soon!
