Apple Orchard

We went to the apple orchard yesterday which is one of my favorite outings of the year. This is our third year in a row and this time we went in Septembere instead of October. Good move on our part. The apples were much bigger and the weather was great, warmer than we expected.

We always start off the morning with some warm, apple cider donuts. YUM

Then the tractor ride out to the orchard.

We finished with some roasted marshmellows, which my crazy kids wouldn't eat.  Silly!
We came home for lunch and naps and spent the afternoon at a sweet little one-year-old's birthday.
And rounded out the evening with a little dinner out!
All in all, it was a great Saturday! Sunday was followed by nothing! Watching football and cleaning up the house that was neglected during my busy work week and a Saturday of fun!

A little trip and family time

I'm going to do my best today to get caught up a little on some exciting times we've had around here. Starting with a trip to Las Vegas Jason and I took. Jason was going for a conference, so we decided to go down for the weekend before and sight see a little bit. We've been before but it has been a bit. I came back on Tuesday and Jason came home Wednesday night. We had some great family time the rest of the week, got some stuff done around the house and just enjoyed the 4 of us together again.

Thursday morning we went to bowl! Such a fun, cheap week day morning activity.

The kids had so much fun and played 2 games before their attention span had officially depleted.
Jason and I had a great time in Vegas too. Nothing too exciting, no shows or anything like that. we walked around, did a tiny amount of gambling, went to a shark aquarium and mainly just enjoyed that we had no little kids to keep track of and no nap times to worry about!

It was a much needed getaway for some rest and relaxation.

Our everyday

I have been terrible at documenting our lives lately. The truth would actually be that I have been terrible of having a life lately. Pregnancy tends to hit me hard, and I would also go as far to say that this has been the toughest yet. 13 weeks in and I am on my 5th zofran refill. It helps a ton, but I still throw up anywhere from a few times a week to a bad day when I throw up 3 times a day. It's temporary and as exhausted as I feel its so worth it! We are so excited for this baby and I will take whatever is thrown at me!

While all I want to do is nap and lay on the couch, I am trying to enjoy the warm weather and let my children experience all there is to experience. So, here are a few of the pictures that I have taken of our summer adventure.

These two cuddle all the time. This is a terrible, blurry picture but shows just how sweet these two are. This is snack time post nap and they wanted to sit as close as possible.
Park days are their favorites
Just being cute for the camera
Love when my boy wants to sit close to me, doesn't happen nearly as often as I would like.
Gavin is growing so fast and learning so much every day. His favorite thing is puzzles right now and he has gotten so good.
Surprise ice cream trips before bed!
My view to and from the pool multiple days every week. I don't know what I am going to do now that the pool closed...
Arts and crafts on rainy mornings
The best chalk drawings I have every seen. Reegan and Gavin, drawn by Reegan!
Saturday was Jason's birthday and we celebrated the day with lots of fun. We went to the zoo in the morning and the Royals game at night. Reegan loved slugger and cotton candy. Gavin didn't like either of those, he preferred to climb over my legs and hang from the chairs!

I cannot believe summer is over. Preschool starts tomorrow and a new normal will begin for us. I am looking forward to feeling a little bit better and being able to give my children a little more of myself. This 40 weeks is going to fly by and I am so excited, but I want to cherish these moments as a family of 4 and give them my all! And hopefully I will be a little bit better of taking pictures and sharing our life!
