Easter

Easter was amazing!  One of the best days, ever!  We started the weekend with an indoor egg hunt on Sat morning, followed by gymnastics, egg coloring, and giving the kids their Easter baskets (I knew they would have more family baskets to open on Sunday, so this way they could spread it out)

 I was so excited to find this KSU hello kitty.  Hello kitty is Reegan's absolute favorite right now

 These target dollar section maracas were a hit!  He crawls around holding the maracas in his hands.

Sunday morning we dressed up for church, then headed to the Larson house for lunch and after nap, over to the Heine house.

First time attempting the faux-hawk on our almost bald boy!  It was adorable!

 

The day was filled with laughter, food, stories, baby giggles, kisses, hugs, more food, and lots of love!

 

Gavin- 9 months

This was, by far, the hardest photo shoot yet.  Gavin was not in the greatest mood and did not want to sit still, so we have a lot of blurry, angry face photos.

 Gavin refused to sit in his crib like he does every month, he crawled away and then would stand and try to get out.

 The couch was not much better.  He tried all the escape routes. 

Besides for these rare, cranky moments, Gavin is a joy.  He is the most amazing baby. 

 This last month has been filled with so much growth, no longer a little baby.  Already we are seeing signs of independent toddler thrown with some amazing moments of cuddle and love. 

• Gavin is a mama's boy, he gets excited to see all of us, but if I haven't been with him for a little bit he only wants me and will cry until I pick him up.
• crawling every where, loves the kitchen and the dog food which means I have to remind him 100 times a day "no dog food"
• will pull up and cruise along the furniture, his toys, Reegan's toys
• started clapping
• waves, sometimes
• gives lots of kisses, open-mouthed and all :)
• loves to eat and loves to feed himself.  When food runs out, he bangs on his highchair and tries to reach for our food.
• drinks from a sippy cup a little bit
• still wakes up at night, has only slept through the night 1 time ever.  Most nights he wakes up between 1-3 times.  Usually goes right back to sleep, but mostly he wants a little reminder that we are still here and he's not missing anything. 
• still puts everything in his mouth, but the teething and drooling has slowed down a bit (8 teeth).
• loves peek-a-boo and will laugh every time. 
• starting to get some stranger anxiety and will whine/cry when we drop him off at church, gym, daycare. 
• loves to cuddle and still get rocked to sleep! 
• STATS - 19 lbs., 15 oz. (38th percentile); 29.25" tall (79th %); 14" head (14th %)
