Emerson- 5 months

5 months old and a big baby now. Emerson has grown and changed so much in the last month. She is such a happy baby is really liking her schedule while still being very go with the flow. After 60-90 minutes of being awake, sweet girl is ready for a nap. Morning nap(s) are usually short, only 30-40 min. She goes down for her afternoon nap at 1:00 and since she is swaddled that one is often 2 hours long!
We sit up now as well. She tires easily and falls over fairly often, but were working on it.
We got the exersaucer out and she loves it!

Baby has got rolls so no food as of right now. She is showing some interest, but is sleeping through the night and is growing like crazy. She slept through the night from 5 weeks- 4.5 months every night before her latest growth spurt. Now we occasionally wake up around 4, but still sleep all night sometimes too.

We are all loving this little girl and she has been a perfect addition to the family. Time is flying by and I'm enjoying every minute!

Oregon trip-part 1

Our big family vacation this summer was to Portland, OR. I will spare you the hundreds of pictures I took and give you some highlights. We had a blast and loved being with family.

The weekend we arrived we stayed in Portland.

Saturday morning was spent at the Saturday market before lunch then heading back to the hotel for naps and showers. Saturday night we went to my Aunt Jane and Uncle Greg's house for a family dinner. She has an amazing garden that the kids enjoyed exploring!

Sunday morning we went to multnomah falls, powells bookstore, lunch and drove to the coast.

4 months

Please ignore that I am over a month behind! On July 8 (Jason and I's 9 year anniversary) Emerson Jaye turned 4 months old. I've said it a million times, but please slow down time.  Every time I say it I think time actually speeds up. Ugh, trying to soak up her squishy amazing-ness while I can.
She weighed 14 pounds 8 ounces and is in the 90%ile.
Rolls from back to front all the time but rarely rolls from front to back. Wakes up talking and talks all the time. Loves to smile and is the happiest, most wonderful baby in the world!!!
Getting so strong and wanting to sit up by herself!!!
Proud big sister and big brother!

Bike riding

A few months ago, Jason and Reegan decided this would be the summer that Reegan would learn how to ride her bike with no training wheels. In true Reegan fashion, once she decided she was ready, she picked it up in 3 practices. We still need to work on the starting and stopping a little but that will come with time.
We walked deep in our neighborhood to the elementary school and had a ton of room to practice.
Gavin has a balance bike that he doesn't use correctly and for the life of us, we can't figure out the best way to help him learn.  It was good time for him to practice too.

 Goof ball
And the baby just relaxed and watched.

The night we went out was the most perfect evening. Nice and cool and a great time for a couple shots of all the kids together.
