This past week, we have had some great times with great friends. The Keeley family came over last weekend so we could eat and catch up while Cade and Reegan played. They are only 3 months apart and, so far, get along real well.
Reegan is the older one, so she thinks its her place to keep Cade in line...don't worry there were no tears, just good fun.

Baby or Teenager??
There are a couple of reasons that we sometimes wonder which of these Reegan truly is. 1) She is eating like there's no tomorrow, and 2) She's a very trendy dresser. Let me explain further...
Lately it seems that Reegan has an absolutely insatiable appetite! She loves her food and can often be seen shoveling piece after piece into her mouth. (We literally have to stop her sometimes so she remembers to chew) Don't worry though, she definitely plays plenty hard enough to burn it all off!! ;) Another reason we feel she just can't get enough is because as we were scrolling thru pics on the camera to decide which ones to blog about, we quickly realized that well over half of the pictures we've taken in the last couple of months are simply of her eating! Too funny...it really feels like we're trying to feed a teenager sometimes. :)
We think she was trying to save that Cheerio for later...
The trendy dresser is obviously not something Reegan actually controls, but it's definitely true. She does have some really cute clothes we love to dress her in (thanks mostly to her grandparents!) We've even been told before that she dresses very "urban" and she looks as if she should be drinking Starbucks and shopping at Whole Foods! Here she is modeling her newest fashion piece...
We LOVE this little vest on her!! It's too cute. And she's also sporting her very first pair of "real" tennis shoes, hard sole and all! She's still trying to get the hang of walking in them, but she gets better every day. You'll also notice the book Reegan is holding - Olivia. This is by FAR her favorite book. She is constantly bringing it to us to read...and read again...and read again! It is definitely fun to read to her though and she even turns all of the pages. :)
So while the teenage years are obviously a long way off (thank goodness) it is sometimes hard to imagine this little girl already acting so grown up. Can't she just stay little forever?!

1 Year Old!
It is so hard to believe we have a 1-YEAR-OLD in our home! It has been one of the most amazing years ever. On Friday (Reegan's actual birthday) we let her "practice" eating her cupcake for her party that was going to be Saturday. :) She loved it! Of course, I think the icing was her favorite...
She has really turned in to quite a little ham lately. She is always making the funniest faces and noises and thinks she is just the funniest thing ever!
Like most food - ok ALL food - she took down the cupcake. :)
And was very pleased with the mess she made too!
As a beautiful one year old girl Reegan is almost completely off of baby food. As I alluded to before, she is NOT picky. She literally has not ever refused anything we've tried to feed her. We can only hope this is a trend that continues. She also loves feeding herself. It takes so much longer to get thru meal time, but it's fun to watch her try to pick up all of the pieces of food. :)
Saturday was the big day...the PARTY! We had our family and some close friends over to celebrate with Reegan. It was so much fun! Reegan had a bunch of her little friends to play with as well. All of the kids were so cute together.
Reegan may have her first little crush it seems. She kept patting George on the head while he was in the Bumbo seat. Maybe she just has a things for younger boys. ;)
Next came the best part of the day - another cupcake!! I think she was a little nervous eating in front of everyone...
But once she tasted a little frosting, it was all over.
This cupcake is AMAZING mom! Num, num, num, num......

Fun weekend!
Saturday night, Jason and I went out for date night. We went to Carmen's Cafe for some great Italian food and then to the Roasterie for coffee and christopher elbow chocolate. I am slowly converting Jason into a coffee drinker, usually he just orders a hot chocolate, last night he ordered a coffee (I didn't even have to persuade him) and he said he liked it...Ok, I think his exact words were "I didn't have to choke it down". I think once he gets some flavored creamer he will totally be on board.
Tonight we went to a superbowl party. There was a chili cook-off and a dessert competition. Wonderful food, I don't think Jason or I will need to eat anything for the next 2 days. It is hard work trying 7 different kinds of chili and 8 desserts :)

Viewing area #1. You can't see it in this pictures, but there were 3 tv's lined up so no matter where you were sitting it was a prime viewing location!
Viewing area #2. It was a large group, but SO much fun.
Our poor baby has another ear infection. This is her 3rd one in 5 months and according to the doctor if she has another in the next month or another 3 in the next 7 months, we have to go in for tubes in the ear. Reegan started feeling better today, and was quite the entertainer at the party tonight. She was dancing during the half-time show and waving her diapers (unused from the diaper bag) in the air like pom-poms. Is she a future cheerleader?

Reegan is cute!
OK, so most of you probably already knew that. ;) But we can't help saying it all the time! It's hard to believe our little girl is almost 1 and she continues to amaze us on a daily basis. Reegan is pretty much a full fledged walker now and she is all over the place! She almost never sits/stands in one place for more than about 5 seconds. Here's a cute pic of here before the KSU game the other night. Ready to cheer on the CATS!
Reegan did actually sit still for about 20 minutes the other day. Why? Sesame Street! Apparently she was completely intrigued with the show. She doesn't ever really sit and watch any TV (which we're not complaining about) but she did this time. :) Doesn't she look cute in her little chair!
As most of you probably know, the Midwest was hit with a major blizzard yesterday. And I mean MAJOR! In all, we're talking about somewhere between 12 and 14 inches! Reegan took a second to check out Bella playing out in the snow.
And finally, a quick video. Reegan has learned to go up the stairs!! We haven't really given her many opportunities to try climbing the stairs until recently. Literally the third time she was on the stairs, this is what happened...
Reegan is getting so big now and is one of the bravest babies you'll ever meet. She doesn't seem to have any fears at this point (we can't decide if this is good or bad). We love her so much!
