It's been a busy couple of days around here. We've also gotten to have a ton of fun! It started on Wednesday night for me when I got to go the Sporting KC soccer game with my brother. They've got a brand new stadium that is really, really nice. It was cool to see it in person for the first time. Plus, the tickets were FREE!!! I won them from the local sports radio station 610!
It was also a great chance to put our camera to the test in taking some action shots.
The game ended in a 1-1 tie, but it was full of action and excitement. I would definitely go to another game.
Then on Thursday afternoon, we headed out for a little family time over at Deanna Rose Farmstead. This was Reegan's first official trip to the farmstead and we were really excited to see how she would react to all of the animals. Well...let's just say she preferred to give them their personal space. ;) She wouldn't go near any of them unless we were holding her, and even then she was extremely weary of them. So maybe she isn't exactly an animal lover just yet, but we'll keep trying.
She did, however, LOVE the garden area!! She had a blast running around and she was so funny with these cut-outs. She has been such a ham lately and we cannot get enough of this cheesy grin!!!!
Isn't she the cutest little flower you've ever seen?!
They also had several of these benches around the farm. Reegan had to climb onto every single one, sit down, and then climb down. So funny...
Then it was off to the playground! First the swing...she's starting to warm up to the swing more and more each time.
And of course we made many trips down the slides too. :)
Finally, Reegan went home with Grammie, and we headed out to the Royals game. It was a great game, but the Royals lost 3-1. We did get to see most of the rookie stars in action though. Mike Moustakas...
...Eric Hosmer (1st base), and Danny Duffy (Pitcher). Hopefully these guys are the ones who finally get the Royals on the winning track!
Today is another Family Fun Day! We're waiting for Reegan to wake up from her nap and then it's off to Crown Center to play in the fountains and do some other fun activities. I couldn't think of any better way to celebrate our 5th Anniversary!! Happy 5 years to us!!
