Here's Part II of the past weekend's activities!
We made a trip down to the Louisburg Cider Mill for their annual Cider Fest. We were really excited to take Reegan down because we'd heard there was a bunch of fun things for the little ones at this festival. Well...kinda. If you little one(s) is over age 3, then ya, it's great. For us, while we had fun taking Reegan down there, she couldn't do a whole lot on her own just yet. Regardless, we had a good time...here's some of the highlights.
They had pony rides (for $5) which Reegan really wanted to do. She LOVES horses and kept pointing at them and shouting "Naayyyy!" We just weren't sure she would be able to stay upright so opted to just watch the other kids. :)
We did let her pet one of them, which she thought was pretty cool.
The one thing we did do was the "giant" inflatable slide. They allowed me to take her on my lap, and since we know our girl loves slides, we couldn't pass this up.
She kinda looks scared, but trust me, she giggled the entire time!
See - she loved it!
One thing we had heard about the cider mill in general is their cider donuts. They were awesome and Reegan, of course, really enjoyed them. A very special treat for her. :)
They had a big pile of pumpkins that we let Reegs roam around in for awhile.
Lastly, they had a few craft tents set up. When we walked by the one with the KU and MU memorabilia, I made sure to teach Reegan that these colors and items were "very yucky." Yes, we're definitely brainwashing her into our little KSU girl already. Don't want to allow any bad habits to start you know...
The Cider Fest was fun, but I think waiting a year may have been a better idea. So, next fall I'm sure we'll be back!
Part III is coming soon...don't miss it!
